We should have your system in stock. It may take a day or so to construct it and add any requests to it. It's then up to the courier company.

How hard is it to install?

How often do you need to replace the filters or membrane?

It's dependent on how much sedimentation is in the water near you. The filter cartridges are standard 10" ones and easily accessible. They can be replaced cheaply and easily. You can buy them on eBay or at most plumbing store or water filter shops.
 
They don't need replacing every time though as you can remove them and hose them down to remove most of the grime.
 
Regarding the reverse osmosis membrane (RO) - this is the heart of the system and should give you many years of use. There are a number of procedures you should follow to ensure no damage is done though:
 
- Always start the system with the pressure valve open so the membrane doesn't get a shock
- Always open the pressure valve fully before turning off the high pressure pump
- Always flush the system with fresh water after each use. It reduces biological growth
- Make sure there is water in your tank or that the system is connected to your town water by hose for the weekly automated flush
- If you are shutting the system down for weeks or months you can 'pickle the membrane'. This will allow many months of storage without use.

How can I know the quality of the water produced?

We supply each system with a Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) digital meter. This reads the number of parts per million (ppm) of contaminates in the water.
 
Fresh water has generally up to 500 ppm. Our system runs normally at under 100 ppm.
